The breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Service was friendly and room was very clean. We loved the location, being on the edge of the village. The value for money was excellent.

Great location just off the main high street, and the free parking was just a 2 minute walk away. the staff were exceptional, the breakfast was absolutely delicious and the facilities were clean, comfortable and spacious.

This old inn is a gem in every way. From the welcome, to the comfort and size of the room to the excellent food, particularly for vegetarians, this inn is a standout. It's also the perfect location for touring and despite the weather we had a most enjoyable visit. The staff are most attentive and add to the charm of the inn.

Originally a coaching inn dating back to 1770, Lake District Castle Inn is now a modern venue with views of Bassenthwaite Lake.

Our stay here was nothing short of brilliant. What truly sets this hotel apart is its team. Every single staff member we encountered, from the housekeeping to the restaurant staff, was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our trip special. Breakfast was good. Evening meal very expensive and disappointing, fish over done and greasy and chips very dry, we did not enjoy it at all so would eat out next time. Staff very nice, location and parking was excellent so we would return again.
