Location is wonderful, this is a historical place filled with what you can call a true England spirit. We visited on weekday, so it was calm and quiet (I'm not sure how it is on weekends, however). No people in the baf after 23:00. The room was clean, the staff accomodating. All in all a perfect stay. P.S. The ciders in the pub were superb! But no ghosts, unfortunately.

I was scared when I read some of the bad reviews but when we arrived at the hotel everything was great! We were checked in within 5 minutes and we also booked a place in the spa and a table for a late dinner! The room was small and without a view from the window as this was the only option left and all the rooms were taken. But this was not a problem the room was very warm, cosy and clean! The spa had a calm and cosy atmosphere and we had a great time! When we came to the restaurant we were kindly given a table with a view of the garden by the window which was very nice! The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff was polite. Our meals were brought very quickly and consistently, thank you very much we enjoyed the food! We also saw some ill-mannered guests in the restaurant who were arguing with the staff although we were happy with everything, the service was impeccable! This kind of behaviour is not acceptable in Britain and it was a surprise to me! Breakfast was held in a relaxed atmosphere, the choice of dishes exceeded my expectations, not every 5-star hotel provides such a breakfast, respect! We had a wonderful weekend! Thank you!

Absolutely stunning property. Excellent customer service and great staff. Spa was fantastic and clean, treatments were excellent and left feeling very relaxed. Food was delicious and fresh and served quickly and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a twin room- WOW! Beautiful room, comfortable, cosy and everything thought off, fantastic stay and look forward to returning.

We had a very lovely 3-night stay at the Painswick Hotel, we stayed in the Sladbrook room which has a beautiful view over the garden and the valley. It is such a relaxing place, but equally there are so many things to do around, depending on what your interests are. We visited Broadway and Stroud. Libby was very kind and helped us with a lot of information about what was worth visiting, and with anything else we needed. Adriana was very, very friendly, she looked after us every morning at breakfast. The food was very good, the menu is not very big, but everything we had was delicious. We will definitely return.

Our room was large and comfortable, and quiet. The king size bed was very comfortable. The staff made every effort to accommodate our requests. Breakfast was excellent (except for the coffee).

In the Cotswold village of Frampton Mansell, The Crown Inn is a 17th-century ‘cider house’ with log fires, traditional home-cooked food, locally brewed real ales and good company!
