The building is full of character and has a history going back to the 1385. We were made welcome by the owners who ensured we enjoyed our stay. In the evenings there is a great atmosphere in the bar being popular with the locals. As for the food it’s top quality restaurant standard. Without doubt this is the best place to stay in the area we are going to stay again in the summer

Plenty of staff, all very busy and very friendly, adding hugely to a comfortable stay. The small room I had was very comfortable, the breakfast of high quality and made to order. There is a nook in the car park for motorcycles and the swimming pool was a great plus. What more can you ask for?

Lovely warm welcome when we arrived, really made us feel at home. All the staff we met during our stay were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Bonus extra on our first night, a jazz band - very enjoyable and relaxing to listen to after dinner. Lovely bedroom, cosy and comfortable. Great breakfast, and enjoyed a friendly chat when we left. Would definitely stay again & recommend to anyone.
