We had stayed at Bay Villa before but not for 6 or 7 years ad were delighted to find that it was as good as ever. The room (Estuary) was spacious and bright, with a huge comfortable bed. There was ample room in the little dressing area for all our belongings, and the shower was fantastic. We also appreciated the drinks and snacks, and breakfasts on both days were excellent.

This award-winning family-run B&B is set opposite Lake Windermere in a 19th-century property which was the former gatehouse to Storrs Hall.

Susanne and Glen are welcoming hosts. Room was as described and clean. Comfortable bed and good hot shower. Varied breakfast options lovingly served. Can walk into Bowness on Windermere along the lake path. Can come and go with your own set of keys. Hosts are informed about the local area and won't hesitate to help out with tips and advice. Definitely recommend.

Quaint and cosy. We had been traveling for some time through Italy, Amsterdam and Scotland and this bed was by far the most comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious!

It was a long drive inside from the main highway but once we reached the place , it was a hidden gem with absolutely stunning views. The breakfast was very nice with fresh ingredients, my husband loved the fresh salmon on his toast and I enjoyed the vegan grilled plate . The view from the restaurant was to die for . We had a lovely stay 😊

When you want to get away from it all, you really can at Grange Manor.
