Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped and a lovely selection for a continental breakfast. Restaurant offered great food and it was a lovely place to stay. We would have stayed longer but it was booked up.

We enjoyed a very tasty dinner in the restaurant as well as breakfast in the more casual area next morning. The room was well appointed though not a lot of floor space for our 2 large suitcases. There was very easy access from the car. The breakfast had plenty of choice and make your own cappuccino etc machines as well as boiling water for tea.

Dating back to the 1600s, The Three Tuns is set overlooking Chepstow Castle.

Our room was a little shabby, but knowing that this room was built 70 years after Henrik VIII chopped the heads of his wife s makes it understandable. So 10 points overall.

The Priory is nestled within the historic town of Caerleon on the River Usk. Dating back to 1180, this hotel was originally a Cistercian monastery.
