As my wife put it (who is German) “Classically English”. We had a whole apartment to ourselves, spacious and clean with comfy beds. Didn’t spend much time there as we were busy. But it was centrally located across the street from the cathedral. Lovely breakfast and friendly and attentive staff. When we come back to Winchester will stay here.

It has a lovely interior, amazing food, and extremely helpful staff. I had a long journey before I made it to Wykeham Arms in the evening, and the reception was more than helpful in accepting me. Options for coffee and tea in the room and beer in the fridge. The room was clean, and I was able to get a long and quiet sleep.

Room much bigger than expected; complimentary water & beer in fridge, also fresh milk, tea & coffee in the room. Excellent large walk-in shower, very good toiletries. Breakfast included, very good, fresh fruits, cereals & yoghurts, pastries, plus cooked breakfast; restaurant excellent, we enjoyed very good evening meals as well. Location very handy, good eating / music places all around, a short walk to the Ocean Village & West Quay shopping
