Everything about this property is fabulous. Tucked away down country lanes , set on a river. Our welcome was warm and genuine. We found all the staff to be polite and friendly even though they were dealing with a roomful of people.We liked the food so much we had lunch, dinner and breakfast here. Definitely worth a detour.

We had a great time there and liked everything about it. The house is lovely furnished, the room we had was cosy and had all we needed (and more). The breakfast is delicious and prepared with love. If you are not sure what to do or search for ideas i would recommend a chat with the host. He is open to give great advice and tips for trips, restaurants and more! Everything was beautifully organized for our stay. The premises were very comfortable and the Lodge's owners helped us every step of the way. Our son was having his reception at a local establishment and the Riverside Lodge was so accommodating to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay a wonderful experience.

We liked everything: the room is large and comfortable, bathroom sparkling clean, breakfast is good and the garden is fantastic. Very quiet area but ten minutes' walk to the centre of Carlingford.
