After reading some questionable reviews, we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this accomodation was. Our room itself was large, clean, air conditioned and what appeared like a newly renovated bathroom. The room was cleaned daily. While some fixtures are clearly older than others, it was part of the charm. They had great options for experiences hosted on site which allowed us to experience all we had hoped for by staying in the gorgeous Tuscan countryside. We personally loved the BBQ hosted on the Friday night which was a surprising touch. The food was amazing, accompanied by a beautiful bottle of their wine and live music. The wine tasting and cooking class were also great. Pool area was clean and great spot for relaxing. We are from Australia and would go out of our way to come back to this beautiful accomodation.

Located in Gaiole in Chianti, the ‘most idyllic place to live’ according to Forbes magazine, Ultimo Mulino lives up to this reputation.

Staff was very nice & helpfull. They prepared a surprise for my husbands birthday! We loved the comfort, views, birds singing in the morning and delicious breakfast. Lady serving coffee at breakfast was absolutely sweet with our children. A place to stay to relax & enjoy the nature and also a great starting point to exploring Tuscany.

Set in the Chianti area, in the middle of the Tuscan countryside, Villa Di Capovento is an antique stone villa with outdoor pool. It is a 30-minute drive from Siena.

We stayed here as part of our Honeymoon, and our stay was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and had arranged for a surprise gift and hand-written note in our room for our stay... hugely appreciated, and well-done to the staff! They were also very accommodating in printing off documents for us prior to arrival. We properly enjoyed the variety of flavors at breakfast, and being able to book out the private pool area was an unexpected treat.

Borgo Carpineto features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 16 km of Piazza del Campo and 30 km of Piazza Matteotti.

I stayed at Borgo Carpineto the night before Eroica. To my surprise, dinner was served on premises which was fantastic - bruschetta, pasta, grigliata mista, a Florentine steak expertly prepared, and cantucci and vin santo for dessert. The next morning, there was a beautiful spread of fresh pastries and juice on the table next to a fire burning in the fireplace. The owner made me a coffee on request, and I enjoyed breakfast while chatting with a couple other guests. I couldn't ask for a better stay.

If you are looking for a relaxing break in a peaceful location where the only sound is the birds singing, Villa Sant’Uberto is perfect.
