I liked the room, spacious, nice, comfortable. Bathroom was nice too. Bed very nice. I got to change the room and got one other room with view over the lake, it was fantastic. I enjoyed there. Breakfast was good, variable, eggs, different salami and cheese, bread also, really good breakfast. Wifi was good also. The pool was small but it was nice to stay there a little and take a bath because it was not possible to take a bath in the lake due bad water. Only on some places around the lake was possible to swim, but anyway one local said to me to not take a bath there, if I want not to be sick. Pity, it would be nice but, the pool was OK.

Residence Al Lago is just 100 metres from Lake Trasimeno and 250 metres from Castiglione del Lago's historic centre. The residence features a large garden with swimming pool.

Luigi is an excellent host, nothing was a bother. We enjoyed his travel stories too. The apartment was fully equipped and well laid out. It was a good size and very comfortable. The pool was really refreshing in the heat of the day.

Locanda Del Molino is just a 10-minute drive from Cortona and features a typical restaurant where you can sample authentic cuisine from the region in a cosy atmosphere.

Everything was great: comfort of the apartment, the breakfast was amazing, the concierge was incredible (thank you!) answering all our requests, the pool was bliss at the end of warm days. Looks like a remote property surrounded by sunflowers but its very close to Perugia and perfect to get away of it all while being close to the city and the highway. Also a good base to explore the surroundings.

With a quiet location in Cortona's pedestrian area, Locanda Petrella is a 5-minute walk from Cortona Cathedral. It is set on the second floor of a historic building dating back to the 1800s.

Central location, two-minute walk from Cortona main square. Extremely helpful lady in charge (Google Translate necessary for English, but she's adorable). First ever perfect, stable WiFi in Italy :) Good heating, suitable for my November trip, this was not always the case at other locations.

Locanda Poggioleone is in Pozzuolo, a 10-minute drive from Castiglione del Lago and Lake Trasimeno. It is immersed in nature and offers a garden and an outdoor pool with hot tub.

Villa Marsili is a small, cozy boutique hotel where we felt cared for and truly welcome. We had a beautiful, antique-style room equipped with all modern comforts. The breakfasts were exceptional gourmet experiences – everything served was fresh and delicious, and we especially enjoyed the chef’s handmade savory delicacies made from local ingredients. Each evening from 7 to 8 PM, signature cocktails and snacks were offered – greetings to the lovely young man who mixed our drinks! We were able to park our car for free on the street next to the hotel, and a hotel staff member arranged the spot for us. Normally, parking can be difficult during the tourist season, but I believe we would have found a spot a bit further away if necessary, as there are several parking lots around the town and there were spaces available in the evenings. We will miss this hotel and the time we spent in Cortona. We’ve been to Cortona twice before, but this experience and hotel choice surpassed all previous visits. We’ll definitely come back to the same place in the future. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Fantastic stay. Very welcoming hosts. Rooms large and well equipped. Lovely breakfast. Pool was fantastic. Good base for exploring the surrounding area. Hosts gave us excellent recommendations for dinner etc and helped with laundry/ dry cleaning. Highly recommended.
