The story of the hotel dating back to 1050 is very impressive and how the character has been maintained while the facilities have been upgraded through the ages was so interesting. Each floor was unique, filled with paintings, statues and antiques. View of the river was stunning from our room at the front of the hotel and the option to have drinks on the private balcony was a plus. Comfortable beds. We recieved a upgrade to a suite as it was our wedding anniversary which was a lovely surprise for us.
