The hotel is owned and operated by a lovely couple who do their best to meet all requests. It is located near the beach and a pass for an umbrella and beach chairs are given to you as part of your booking. This is a real bonus, as the beach has reserved booking areas you would would otherwise have to pay for. It is also within walking distance of Chioggia, a small town. The owners also operate a small pizzeria next to the hotel which is where you have a delightful breakfast each morning and can count on for a good dinner at the end of the day. If your destination is the city of Venice, this may not be the best location, as there are no water buses to the city, but there is a regular bus. Ask the proprietors for the 'how to' with organizing a ticket, it can be tricky.

Boasting a sea-front location and views of the Gulf of Venice, Hotel Mediterraneo is a few steps from the beach in Sottomarina di Chioggia.

I have no doubt that the Hotel Grande Italia was the best I've been to — incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating staff; great service and local knowledge; excellent food at breakfast; big comfortable rooms with excellent facilities.

This hotel is a hidden gem--two entrances/exits to room: one into a courtyard, the other out next to a canal. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast delicious. One of our favorite places we stayed on our three-week adventure in Italy.

The place is amazing! Beautiful old monastery, qute and refreshing garden,, super nice and kind people working in hotel together with a dearest little black creature that will come to great you uppon your arrival. They also provide me a safe place for my bike but it is so peaceful and safe environmet that even leaving it outside I believe would not be a problem 😊. Room was very nice and clean, bathrooms as well! Exellent breakfast ! I will be back that's for sure ! Soon I hope 😊
