From the time we arrived we were welcomed greatly and was greeted by staff in our native language which took us by surprise. Apparently there are many staff versed in different languages to assist guests from around the world. I was impressed. The room was huge and the amenities were all there, it did not lack anything. I loved that they provided a rubber duck for the kids to play with in the private bath area. The view from our room was great - overlooking the steamy scenery of Beppu. I loved the private bath, we got an indoor and outdoor one, though the outdoor one is very dark at night since there were no lighting probably around the bath probably to protect privacy. The food served for breakfast and dinner were decent. We liked the teppanyaki dinner and the kids meals were delicious.

Where should I start ... everything was so great, we had wonderful Room in an old beautiful Ryokan with view on the garden and everything was made with a lot of love and wonderful taste. For me it was the perfect Japanese experience ... then there is an outdoor Onsen that you can use twice a day as a private Onsen. Beautiful in a backyard Garden. We were so happy to stay there for three Nights.

Great staff - picked me up from the station, toured the property, super friendly, got me larger sized geta and yukata (I'm 6"4 with UK size 12 feet). The dinner provided was delicious and the breakfast was well-balanced. Lovely onsen - public one was open throughout the night.

So much Food and so much varietie. Breakfast and dinner was beautiful. Would recommend taking the dinner and breakfast combo. If you dont know what you are eating just ask the staff they will explain it to you.
