The temple and grounds are stunningly beautiful. The room was the nicest I've had on this trip - comfortable and beautiful. The temple is cold but the heaters in the bedrooms made it very comfortable. The meals were delicious - again some of my best on my entire trip. They were very generous in sharing information about their religion and culture, and inviting tourists to participate in activities that helped us to better understand the life and routine at Ekoin. I appreciated the booklet in the room that explained how to navigate different things (e.g. the meditation, the morning service) so that I better understood. It was a special experience and was grateful for the opportunity to visit here.

Our stay at Yochi-in was excellent in every way. The monks were welcoming, the food was exceptional, and the room was warm and comfortable. We would highly recommend!

Everything was fantastic. The room and the rest of the place was perfect. Some people here complained about the heat system, but we got the cheapest room and we didn't have a gas stove. We stayed at very beginning of February and the heating system was perfect for us. Food was delicious and a beautiful experience ( we hardly knew what we were eating, but we enjoyed just the same). In other words: a perfect experience

Price was fair what the Sojiin gave back. Service was amazing. Buddhist food, though not what I’d go for appeared to be done very well. Would recommend. To anyone staying in Koyasan. Also in middle of December wouldn’t have guessed it was cold outside due to heaters

Good facility and very very good surrounding environment. Perfect view from the in-room hot spring. Very good ancient Japanese style building and room. Delicious food and nice service.

I liked how helpful the staff was in figuring out the best room to meet our needs. They also let us leave our luggage while we explored. The staff was simply amazing! The view from window facing the garden was gorgeous!!! I will recommend everyone I know to book here!
