This felt like less of a hotel stay and more of an experience as a whole. If you are exploring Nara I would recommend taking at least a day to just enjoy this hotel stay. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who helped us with every little thing, from taking our luggage to ordering a taxi for our departure. We were served luxurious meals for dinner and breakfast in our room, by staff who set our table and made our bed. The location was magical with beautiful nature and deers roaming around outside. They had an amazing natural hot spring bath as well. Would warmly recommend this place.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk.

Close to train station, 7 min walk to central street. Easy to find food around. The receptionist is very nice and there is food massage set on 1st floor! The room is larger than other hotel room in Japan.

Absolutely cool place, with great atmosphere. All inconveniences that might appear are insoluble. Like low ceilings and sound isolation. However it was fine for me, except several bruises on head due to the ceiling’s ))) But after pain is gone it is even a bit funny. So I highly recommend this place)

This hotel is a wonderful traditional Japanese hotel. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I enjoyed the common onsen for the guests. The location is wonderful and located on the main street. The staff go beyond their way to help the guests. The reception manager was so kind that he actually drove me to the train station, when I was not able to get a taxi due to Monday morning rush. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has an old-fashioned design but still, it is very clean. Our room was clean as well and they offered nice facilities. The only minor is the location, we didn't understand that it was a bit further from Nara Center, approximately 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes by train.
