Our stay in Nikko was amazing The owner is very friendly. We arrived early and he had no problem keeping our backpacks in the accommodation prior to check-in. The common areas are amazing just as pictured. From our 2 weeks trip in Japan, this accommodation was the one with more amenities - hair brushes, hair bands, cotton buds, toothpaste and toothbrushes, towels, they also have yukata you can use (of course we tried it) - they have everything you need. I highly recommend the private bath! The accommodation is a 30 to 40 min walk from the city center which was a great walk after dinner (you also have a bus that gets you there in 10 min). The breakfast was also amazing, they had different varieties (you have to choose the day after) - both sweet and salty. Thank you for the great time and for making our stay so amazing!

About a 20-minute walk from the Nikko shrines, Annex Turtle Hotori-An is situated next to the Daiya river and green forests. It features hot spring baths with river views.

Really nice comfortable room, quiet, amazing private onsen, great location.

Hotel Sunshine Kinugawa is located next to Kinugawa River, just a 6-minute drive from Kinugawa Onsen Train Station. It features various entertainment facilities like karaoke and table tennis.

Our most liked hotel on this trip to Japan. The hotel had had a timeless style and elegance. Very close to the station and included breakfast in the price. Hot spa on the property which was very relaxing. Would definitely stay again

Incredible and spacious rooms and an onsen. Went here on our trip to Nikko. Located in Kinugawa onsen, It is one hour away from tobu nikko station. Service is incredible. It is highly recommended to book lunch and dinner during booking because they do not allow it during check-in. They even have private onsen.

The location was great, the view was very satisfying, the room was so elegant and comfortable complete with old world charm. I enjoyed the gift shop and bakery, the staff were helpful and sweet.

Everything was amazing! Lovely house and the owner was the sweetest person ever. I thought the place was a bit far away from the main area of Nikko but we loved a good hike through the forest and finish at the temples and shrines. And the owner offered us a ride to the station when we were leaving. Awesome place.

NIce place to enjoy nikko and relax, It's better to come with a car and stay more than 1 night ! there is a small onsen near by, perfect to finish the day.

The hotel is pretty easy going with relaxed atmosphere. Our room was big and comfortable, but simple. It's a no frills place. Located next to a bus stop or around 40 min by walk to the city centre. It offers breakfasts and dinners for additional fee, which can come handy as there are not many restaurants in Nikko and it's difficult to get a spot without prebooking.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming—he greeted us with a big smile and such a positive attitude. He explained everything about the area in great detail and gave us a list of all the must-visit places. The house itself was very clean, cozy, and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable vacation. On top of that, it felt very authentic to the region, which made the experience even more special. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nikko!
