We knew the gardens are just amazing and it still exceeded expectations. We weren't told there is so much history with them as well including historical buildings within the garden. Very professional reception staff.

The Dinner and Breakfast were excellent. The onsen bath is also extraordinary. The hotel is serene and far from the busy areas. Strongly recommended for the family or couple on their relaxation holiday. Should we be in Hakone area again then we will return to this wonderful hotel.

Huge facilities. Several restaurants inside the very hotel, including a reasonably-priced izakaya. Kind and helpful staff. Our room was somehow oldish in style, but of adequate size, and full of commodities including welcome coffee and tea. The private bath system works smoothly, with a private changing room (well supplied, even with hair dryer, shampoo, etc.) annexed to the private bathing space.

On the slopes of Joyama Mountain, Hakonenomori Okada Hotel features open-air hot-spring baths overlooking forested hills.

Hot spring was amazing, great outdoor selection of pools that were nice and hot. Sauna and indoor pools also available. The food at the resturant was also. Very enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
