Absolutely satisfied with the hotel in terms of the location, the cleanliness, the comfort, the room view, the interior design, as well as their dinner and breakfast. Our rooms had a great view of Lake Biwa and we took a wonderful stroll along the lakeside in the morning. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. They had a wide variety of tasty food there while a number of other restaurants and cafes were within walking distance as well.

The location was amazing. Imagine my surprise we I found out I was directly across from the Kennan-Ji temple. It is obvious if you look at the maps app but I did not. All temples and the Gion district are a very short walk away.

A dream stay!! We waited a long time to get a chance to stay here and it did not disappoint. Steeped in tradition. The service was too notch! The food is over the top. You must opt in for dinner as well to have the whole experience. I tried my first Onsen and went back a second day. They made me feel so comfortable. This experience and lovely place should be on all trips to Kyoto.... it's small so book well in advance. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us.

The location was perfect, nestled in a quaint little area but just a train stop away from Kyoto Station and the main shopping area. Everything was seamless from check in to check out. The room was big compared to the usual Japanese rooms - just nice for a couple.
