They have 2 baths and 1 pool with the best scenery. At the check out they even took us to the train station. I highly recommend this place to anyone, the dinner and breakfast is a must try experience. The beach is a 7 minute walk.

We got a bigger room type with balcony and partial ocean view on the 6th floor (highest). The room is big and comfortable. The view from the side is actually better than the front since it looks directly into the beach cove with hills and cliffs rather than the front of the hotel lawn. Breakfast is plentiful. The onsen is beautiful with great ocean view. Location is also very good, a short walk to Perry road and the historical center.

Set right on the Shirahama Beach of Izu Peninsula, Shimoda Prince Hotel offers an ocean view from every room.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. The facility is super clean. We loved the onsen and all the amenities (robes, towels, slippers, etc.) It’s super close to the beach, free parking. We loved it!

The breakfast was great. Not the usual breakfast at hotels. It was hot for a change. So many hotels in Japan pride themselves on getting the food on the table as soon as they can. Result is that the food is sitting there long before the hotel guests come down to eat it. In other words it is cold. The breakfast was far beyond my expectations and delicious.
