Sandanya is a lovely and unique guest house.Impeccably clean, with spacious Japanese style rooms and beautiful ground floor area with amazing collections of Japanese dolls, glasses, shells and so much more..There is a pc corner, too. Regarding travel necessities, whatever you think of-the owner already has it covered.Hygiene sets, maps, bus passes, plenty of fridge/freezer space, nice, fragrant towels..can’t praise this place enough. For western travellers, don’t be put off by shared toilets and bathrooms:all in pristine conditions, even with bath mats changed after every use. The owner speaks English and is very helpful and friendly.Location wise,it’s a literally min away from Sandanbeki cliffs and if you want to go down the hill to some onsen or to Shirahama beach, the bus stop is just next to the house.Walking to Shirahama beach is easy, only takes 20 min, with 2 foot baths along the way. I stayed 4 nights there and loved everything about this guesthouse.

The staff are amazing. Attentive and friendly from before we even walked in the door. They made every effort to look after us. The infinity pool did not disappoint. The views and condition of the onsen pool were exquisite and created a relaxing yet exciting atmosphere. Dinner at Nagi was delicious. The beef especially and the sashimi. A massive surprise was a pianist performing a short sweet set as we relaxed in the lobby after dinner. A lovely end to the night.

The hotel is near to the beach, it has a lovely swimming pool outside. There is a great viewing area on the 11th floor where you can sit and relax looking out to the sea and on the same floor there are male and female Onsens. There was a wide variety of food at breakfast. The room with tatami area was very nice. Good size gym and laundry room.

Great location next to the beach. Our room was huge, and the private onsen was lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They were lots of things to do in the hotel which we didnt take advantage of, like relaxing areas, ping pong, communal kitchen, but would recommend.
