Beautiful property with a lovely view of the ocean from the rooftop - all the staff were welcoming and went out of their way to be kind and helpful! Rooms had AC and were nice and cold and they have a good location on a more private road, very close to places you can buy SIM cards if at the start of your stay 😌😌

good quiet location but easy access to everything via tuk tuk. Sita is very helpful and a kind person. helped us get our sim card sorted ( there was a long queue at the airport and it was so simple to sort just round the corner from the house). we ate Sita's home made fish curry and it was even nicer than the quite posh restaurant we went to on our second night! finally, we were both a bit washed out from our long flight and we got into the room a little early and stayed a couple of hours after checking out which meant so much to us. thanks again Sita. And Glenn who was very helpful via messaging.

very nice place with beautiful antique local furniture. very hospitality stuff…we had a cozy and calm room with own small garden. swimming pool was nice and clean. breakfast was great and testy

The coconut juice in breakfast is very good

1 night stopover. Staff was really accommodating, 5 star service. Lovely pool set by the lake with fresh fruit juices. Breakfast was unlike anything I've ever seen (Sri Lankan, Indian, Continental, English and much much more)

There might be lots of modern hotels on Colombo’s skyline but this historic heritage property remains wonderful

Perhaps the best hotel I've ever been to. True 5 star experience from the moment you step out of your taxi to the moment you step back into the taxi that takes you away to your next adventure. I was greeted with a traditional Sri Lankan blessing, including oil and pigments on the forehead (you don't have to participate in this, of course, if you don't want to). Check-in was quick, extremely friendly, and professional. The room rate was even a few Euros cheaper than the price showed by booking because they charged my card in rupees, and my bank has a better exchange rate than booking.com. Now to the room. I had booked an executive room. This room is so big, you could have a dinner party with 20 people and it still wouldn't feel packed. Very large, extremely comfortable bed. I booked city view and the main, very large widow front was towards the Skyline of Colombo with breathtaking views (Lotus Tower is behind a newly build apartment building and is not visible from any room or the rooftop). However, there's also a small window on the other side of the room that had a view to the ocean. So I got a sea view from my bed and without having to pay extra for it (I don't know if that applies to all city view rooms, though). The bathroom is very large, with a large and deep bathtub that also has a spectacular view of the city. Right next to the bathtub is the shower with the same view and the strongest water pressure I have ever experienced in any hotel anywhere in the world. I don't even have that strong of a waterflow in my shower at home in Germany. This made the rain shower feel like a spa treatment. Bathtub fills within 5 minutes, and there's even a scented bathsalt. AC worked perfectly and stays on even though you take the room key out of the power slot. Any amenities you could think of are present in the bathroom. Even body lotion and shaving kit.
