We stayed in Mountain Wave Hotel couple of weeks in mid December. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All our trips to attractions was handled through the hotel and went as planned. Room was fresh and cleaned when requested. Location of the hotel was exceptional. All the restaurants within walking distance and the hotel was directly by the sea. Would definitely like to come back some day.

The location was great, just a 2 minute walk away from the beach and lots of restaurants around. But keep in mind that the hotel is right next to the railway tracks so you can hear trains from time to time, what however didn't bother me :) the room also comes with a nice and spacious balcony. The host always tried to make our stay as good as possible and is very helpful.

The villa is located 5 minutes from the beach, inside the villa is very cozy and clean, very welcoming and friendly hosts. The room has its own bathroom and air conditioning. There are refrigerators in the hall and there is a kitchen with a gas stove. Near the villa there are cafes where they cook very tasty, and what can be especially noted from fresh products. I definitely recommend the villa for living, and if we have the opportunity to return to Hikkaduwa, we will definitely stay here.

Fabulous place just off the beaten track and only 5 min walk to the beach and main hub of Hikkaduwa. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Villa and grounds kept clean, breakfast was plentiful and a great relaxing start to the day. Definitely recommend

Very unique, cozy family-run hotel. It’s a place where you can truly rest because everything is taken care of. Hotel has a restaurant, swimming pool, outside big screen TV, great WI-FI, lounges, books to read, evening bar, self-service kitchen. People who run the hotel are really good people. They helped us with doctor visit, allergy issues. We also booked excursions and changed money in the hotel, because it was cheaper. They also provided a car to the airport with safe and nice driver. Food: they offer free breakfast, where you can order tea/coffee, fresh juice, smoothie, smoothie bowl, anything with eggs, pancakes, sandwiches etc. We were quite happy with the kitchen. My children didn’t want to leave the hotel, so we ordered all food there. (Try their potato wedges - my children had 13 plates during the week ;). Location is just great. Close to shopping and bay area, and a place to feed the turtles. We also visited Galle, turtle sanctuary, went on boat safari, tsunami and silk museum, spice garden - all booked from the hotel. Great place to stay and even to come back. We are going to miss Villa Red Lobster.
