The views would have been phenomenal were it not for the torrential rain we experienced while we were there. The host was very welcoming. The room and balcony were lovely, and everything was very clean.

Very nice friendly and smiling staff. Quiet and beautiful view of the city and lake right from the bed. A quarter of an hour walk to the city centre.

Simply amazing place. from the way we were greeted and treated throughout our stay to impeccable garden and stunning views from the pool. This place really deserves to be 5 star hotel. hotels historical touch is a real bonus, and staff were professional, helpful and chatty when needed yet not too bothering when we were just enjoying ourselves. our butler Sagar (Sajar) was excellent, it was pleasure to chat with him, he arranged everything we needed. chef prepared our meals to our taste and was willing to make any changes to tailor the meals according to our kids dietary requirements. even offered us meals that aren’t on the menu. when they heard that we enjoyed dosa in Kandy, our butler arranged with chef to cook it specifically for us. we stayed in hotel much more than we were planning to. also we were positively surprised by food menu price policy, it was definitely perfect value comparing with other places during our six weeks in Sri Lanka.

The property was very new and clean, good attention to details and well equipped rooms, soaps and lotion. The view is amazing, it was super nice to wake up in the nature calm environment. It is a family owned house and the family is lovely and very helpful. We even went on a sunset walk with the owner, got to know him and learn about the city. Such a pleasant stay

Ananda and his wife are fantastic hosts, they were always available to help in any occasion. For example, My girlfriend was sick for a few days and Ananda was so kind that he scheduled an appointment with a doctor to get some advice and medicines. The location is also beautiful, in front of a huge forest in which a wild.leopard resides. Fantastic experience, definitely recommended.

- the host was very nice, easygoing and gave me good tips - the view from the balcony is wow - it has several good restaurants nearby - it was clean and had everything a person might need, would love to come back with more time
