Fun place to stay! The owners were really characterful and friendly. It's right in the jungle and the garden is like a jungle too. The room was great, very clean, hot running water and really well kitted out rooms - Good AC, a stocked fridge with cold drink minibar type setup, kettle, tea/coffee, a big washing bowl handy for washing clothes. The entrance to Sigriya is directly opposite the access road to this place - you could not stay any closer, so ideal for an early morning start up the rock. The Breakfast here is absolutely stunning, 18 different items, all cooked by the host in the morning, hoppers, pancakes, little omelets, jaffles.. it just keeps coming out! We had our own tuktuk so driving around, going out at night wasn't a big deal, and the owner can easily organise a tuktuk pickup as this guesthouse is set back into the jungle. A 5min walk from main road in the daylight but maybe not something to try in the dark. We would happily stay again!

It’s not just a hotel, it’s an amazing experience, you are staying close to nature and you can meet a lot of animals on the territory of the hotel. The interior of the hotel is very stylish. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was good, nothing like very special but a lot of choices, coffee was good. A lot of options for dinner, you can get buffet for around 20 $ or you can have fancy romantic dining in a cave for approximately 400 $. Small details were well chosen in the hotel, the room is simple but I love it, there is relaxing music that you can turn on and also small candle that you can fire and put near jacuzzi with amazing view.

The homestay only has two rooms so room is very spacious, clean with great tranquil atmosphere. The owner’s family is cute, caring with each other. Food are delicious, juice is served every day. We also ordered dinner there for convenience.

This is one of the places we perhaps had the best food in Sri Lanka. The host is very friendly and recommended us to go up Pidurangala at sunrise. It's an easy 5 minute walk to get to the start of the hike from the property. In hindsight we would have liked to stay here another day.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dinesh and his family's guesthouse. If we could give a rating of 15/10, we would! The room was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated and the garden surrounding the rooms is just magical, giving somewhat of a jungle feel. When we arrived, Dinesh took a lot of time to explain what to do in the area and how to get there and he also helped with organising a Tutuk, as well as a driver to get us to our next destination. We decided to only eat at the guesthouse because the food prepared by Dinesh's mother was absolutely amazing! Best breakfast and dinner we've had so far, they also put so much effort and creativity into accommodating all of my many food allergies, which I appreciated a lot. We highly recommend staying at Otunna guesthouse. Dinesh and his family put so much love into the guesthouse and he puts a lot of effort, even before the stay, into making sure the guests needs are met at all times. Thank you for everything!

We booked 3 nights ended up staying for 6 nights nights in the accommodation and then came back a second time because it was so great! The small house with its many windows is simply very special. Starting with the furnishings, the cleanliness and the view. The family there, who are incredibly welcoming, genuinely good people as a bonus they prepare the best authentic home cooked food. As former farmers they take pride in there vegetable garden and are happy to show you what you are eating from garden to table.It's an amazing place to relax, surrounded by nature with the lake and the view of sigiriya. We can only recommend everyone to stay here. We will definitely come back as soon as we can. What you get for your money here is unimaginable elsewhere.

I had a great stay at the Sigiri Roar. The family was so kind and welcoming. The room was great, as was the breakfast each morning, it filled you up for a day out exploring the area. The family was always there to answer any questions I had and arranged tuk tuks

Such a beautiful place! We had an incredible 2 night stay at the Kuwera Eco Lodge. The location is so tranquil with nature all around. The food is incredible, traditional cuisine from the ecologically conscious staff. The room are keep simple and impeccably clean.
