It's a nice little homestay tucked away from the strip. It truly is a 5 min walk from Lion Roc, so great location. The major point is that it's run by two lovely people. The owner offered to take me to Pidurangula at 4.30am because it was too far to walk. Then he cooked an incredible breakfast. Such a great place. I'd recommend it to everyone

Sun Shine Villa was a great spot for us to stay in Sigiriya. Dinesh and his family are very accommodating, and help make your stay memorable. Great location, couple minutes tuk tuk to town and main attractions.

Perfect location with access to both rocks. Owner was very warm and cooked very good food. Room was dated but very clean.

Everything was perfect. Location was close to lion rock and lots of restorants Dinesh was very kind an thoughtful. His hospitality surounded us before even we got there. He took care of evetything. We always communicate about anything.He suggested so many good things. Even booked us a safari which was delighful. The garden was amazing with lots of beautiful plants and flowers. The dining area was in the middle of evetything. The breakfast was very rich and delicious with dishes and fruits.Our room had everything in it. A\C, mosquito repellants and even plug changers. Thank you for everything. İf we visit Sigiriya again we will definately choose here again.Recommending anyone

We recently visited Sigiri Lake Paradise. The host had ensured that a driver would pick us up from the airport as we arrived at 03:00 am. The drive itself took 2-2,5 hour and once we arrived we were served with tea and coffee, even though that the check-in time at the homestay, was at 11:00. We went up to the rock next to the house and saw this amazing sunrise. We are very grateful for the assistance we received from the owners. The breakfast was great and included both fresh fruits and local breakfast cuisines. Every night we ate dinner at the homestay, which we highly recommend. We were fortunate enough to help prepare a traditional Sri Lankan dinner, which also was a great experience. The family helped us getting to attractions such as Lion Rock and the Golden Cave temple. They were also a great help with regards to arranging a safari tour. Though it’s a bit far from the main road, we had no trouble walking the 2.5 km or getting transportation from the family. Overall, we were very happy at Sigiri Lake Paradise and wholeheartedly recommend it.

I can really recommend this homestay. I found it very idyllic there, so that I prolonged one night. The family is very friendly. The owner drove me and another couple to Pollunaruwa by tuctuc for a very fair price. Also he gave us a ride to Pidurangala. He also offers bicycles if you want to climb Lion Rock in the early morning ( 6 a.m.) If you want to climb an 5 a.m., he drops you there. The breakfast was also delicious. Great peaceful spot. We loved the sustainability aspect after having to get plastic bottles for water during our trip beforehand - they have water to get get from reception and fill provided jugs for your room. The place uses solar panels and respects the surrounding nature which we thought was great too. We loved the garden and how veggies from there are used in the dinners. We loved how the place still had all the surrounding trees. The pool was lovely to swim in. The room was beautiful with all wanted comforts (AC, mozzy net, comfy bed, clean linen, towels, etc.) and we enjoyed the outdoor shower. The staff were all friendly and professional. The breakfast and dinner is a small extra charge and we enjoyed them greatly - very delicious - we thought the breakfast might be included with the price which may be better in the future as most people got the breakfast - but also it makes sense if some people maybe don't at times :). We borrowed bikes which we thought might be too hot but absolutely ended up loving riding to climb up the smaller Rock and into town as well - it was better in the morning (roughly 8am) but we also rode in the heat midday - the roads are quite shaded - the bike riding through was a highlight as you are so close to the national park and it's beautiful!
