This is the best place I have stayed at in the Kathmandu valley. Patan is a lovely area, but most importantly, this guesthouse provides all the comfort one could wish for. The owners are incredibly helpful and kind. I cannot recommend staying here enough!

I liked everything. The huge and well decorated room, the very friendly and professional staff, the varied and well prepared breakfast, the restaurants, but, above all, the spa. The hot stone massage is indescribable and makes us wish it would never end.

Nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds, Shambaling Hotel is a charming refurbished house from the 70s.

The staff was extremely friendly and nice. The room was clean and comfortable. It is a hotel with peace and calm in tune with nature. I tried the singing bowl therapy offered by the hotel. It was amazing and refreshing!

The owners were friendly and helpful - assisted us with a visit to a particular monastery. The breakfasts were great - good choice, and good food. The rooms were spacious, and in a Tibetan style. The hotel is an easy walk to Boudhinath Stupa.
