We stayed in the heritage room overlooking the Square - and as described you need to climb the stairs to get to this room and the private rooftop area. There are not many places you can get to stay in a hotel with such history and heritage. Very happy with this hotel, and room selection. if you have mobility issues - this may not be the room for you - select an alternate room on a lower floor. Meals at this hotel were fabulous, loved the soda drink menu! i tried nearly all of them ! Meals are served in a very beautiful internal courtyard decorated with wood carvings and plants. Owners and staff were very very helpful with any of the questions we asked, and assisted us with our bags on arrival and departure; organised taxi to the airport (excellent rate). Located on a nice quiet square, and it was magical to sit by the window and watch the scene change during the day. Easy walk from this hotel to the other squares in Bhaktapur. Thoroughly recommend at least 1-2 nights in this city to explore and unwind. Excellent wifi at all time, in our room and in courtyard. We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel and will defintely be staying here again.

This place has everything you need. Friendly and helpfull staff, perfect location only a few steps away from two main squares. Breakfast is included and served from the rooftop with nice views. Also good and clean rooms with perfect matresses. What more do you need?

We stayed in a big room in traditional style. It was so cosy that it felt like home. Nice room, comfortable bed and even an electric blanket and gas stove. Fantastic! The host and his family are very helpful and friendly. It is located in a quiet area in walking distance from the Pātan Durbar Square and the restaurants.

Very welcoming and peaceful Tibetan Buddhist hotel. Lovely rooms, prayer flags flying, sound bowls in the room, gated entrance, prayer wheels, great indoor/outdoor cafe/restaurant, beautiful potted plants, yoga and spa including sound healing. Handy to both Bouddha Stupa and Phulbari Monastery. I easily walked to both (Stupa is closer).

Taleju Boutique Hotel exceeded all expectations! Januka, Pratikshya and the entire team went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. On my birthday, they generously upgraded our room and provided exceptional service. The food was incredible, thanks to Roshan and the F&B team who added special touches to make the experience even more memorable. Even the security guards, though I didn't catch their names, were enthusiastic and welcoming. Their service is truly more than 5 stars – they treat you like royalty, making you feel like a prince and princess. This is a wonderful little hotel in an alley just off the main hustle of Thamel. Everything was great - I had a room on the 5th floor and had a very quiet night there. The room was light and well equipped, the shower was hot with good pressure. There is a lift which was a big help with my huge luggage. The breakfast was tasty with quite a few choices. A special thank you to the amazing staff! They truly were so helpful and kind! All in all a great value for money, I spent a while looking for a place in Thamel and was happy to have finally chosen this hotel.
