What an amazing place! It was amazing staying in the stables. Usually I only go with a private bathroom, but this experience was worth the shared bathroom. Great room with nice heating. Staff were super friendly and the dinner in the castle was fantastic!!

All staff were very friendly and helpful, but the manager on duty was just exceptional! We were there partly to watch the first All Blacks match at the hotel. He helped reserve the best table in the restaurant for watching the game, and he even let us know the best time to be catching up with the players after the match without disturbing them. I can't ask for more with a staff like him. We were there with my mom and my daughter, so the mini suite with 2 rooms and a living room was perfect.

Were upgraded so had a lovely suite. Facilities - eg laundry - good. Great situation in uni area. Easy to walk into town or in opp direction to Botanic gardens. Shop 10 mins walk away. Staff very nice.

Nicely situated from central Dunedin and easy access from main routes . Nice comfortable room with good facilities. Very lovely owner , extremely helpful nothing to difficult for her.

Stunning view that I was able to enjoy in a very comfortable chair. The room it self was very roomy, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was great with the nice high toilet and the shower had great pressure.

Alcala Motor Lodge offers affordable accommodation just minutes from Dunedin Botanic Gardens and Otago Museum and shopping centres and speciality stores.
