First and foremost, your beautiful establishment and grounds and the incredible views! In addition, the staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious - from the charcuterie board when we arrived to our dinner in the dining room as well as the incredible breakfast buffet! The staff were fantastic, even showing me where I could park my motorcycle more safely. When language proved a barrier the owners mother in law went out of her way to phone someone so I could chat in English. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was basic but plentiful. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you.

A good location for a stress-free getaway in São Martinho de Mouros, Casa Cardoso is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden.

Sérgio was lovely, what an incredible host! He sorted taxis for us to and from Ermida station, shared his homemade port, and made sure to check in with us on a regular (but not over the top) basis. This was an incredible break in a beautiful part of the world. Great value for money for our 4 nights! Others have noted the bed is on the shorter side, fine for me at 179cm, but only just. And no AC, but there is a fan. It's a no frills place in a lovely town, as long as you expect that you'll have a great time. . We'll stay again if we're ever back in the region!
