the location was perfect and the lodge was so quaint. such attention to detail and lots of little extras that you normally have to pay for. the fireplace was a bonus! we were very impressed.

The breakfast was great, it had good verity and it wasn't the same every day. We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio at the firepit. The staff was friendly and attentive. The facility was kept clean. The location is central to everything. Close to downtown, lakes and shopping.

This was an amazing find. Vendome is full of history and character, but has been thoughtfully updated so it has modern comforts. It is tastefully decorated and well located. Above all, the service is exceptional. I made a mistake with my booking and in fact had booked for a week prior to my actual stay. I realised too late. But the very kind people at Vendome accommodated me and allowed me to change the booking. Not many hotels would do this, I think, and it was greatly appreciated. Communication with the hotel was excellent throughout and I got a very friendly welcome when I did arrive. The room is comfortable and charming. I would definitely stay here again.
