A gem of a guest house! The hosts are incredible - kind, helpful, hospitable, detailed, personable. I booked 2 rooms and both were spacious and inviting. The guest house has nice common areas perfect for reading or hanging out, and breakfast was delicious - fresh and plentiful. All around, great value for $$.

Saxon Lodge was one of the best places to stay during our three week vacation in South Africa. The owners in particular were always very friendly and genuinely interested in us. We felt at home right from the start. All our questions were answered at all times. We were given an upgrade due to minor building work on our room. The location of the accommodation is perfect and the view of the harbor is magnificent. Thank you! We would stay here again at any time.

Friendly, helpful hosts. They were able to book us on whale trip last minute, although before we were told by the company, there is no space left. The suite was very clean, spacious, modern and beautifully decorated. The view was fantastic.

A wide range of choices for breakfast, which included all of the usual favourites along with juices, teas and coffees. Location was great, a 5-8 minute stroll along the seafront to the town. Honesty bar was an added extra. We will be back when we come back to Hermanus.
