As like for other wine regions we tried to find a hotel with a winery in walking distance. This one is about 500m from Bimbadgen Estate, which features a high quality restaurant, a cellar door and a pizzeria, and we made use of all of that. We had a friendly welcome at H Boutique Hotel (also by some roos, which enjoyed the rain), and got a big room, in fact it's an apartment with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room and a terrace. There's of course ample parking. Next to the reception there's an interesting shop / bar / cellar door... don't know what to call it, but we enjoyed a nice cheese and wine tasting there, and the next day a breakfast too (it's not open every day though, but we were lucky). It was perfect for the rainy day we had on arrival. Apart from the winery you can walk to, you're very close by car to every other Hunter Valley attraction and winery.

Spacious Grounds: The 300-acre property features a golf course, multiple pools, tennis courts, and walking trails, allowing guests to enjoy the outdoors without leaving the resort. Upgrade to Two-Bedroom Villa: We were kindly upgraded to a two-bedroom villa, which was very comfortable and well-suited for a longer stay.

Pokolbin Village Estate offers a variety of accommodation options suitable for couples, families and groups. Perfect for my family. We really enjoyed our stay, the tennis court, swimming pool and the rooms had everything we needed. The ladies in reception and staff on-site were lovely and friendly. The kangaroos right outside our doorstep were an extra added bonus, the kids enjoyed that.
