Featuring tropical gardens and a charming rustic touch, Pousada Búzios Garden offers a pool, free WiFi. It is located next to the popular Orla Bardot waterfront. I chose the pousada for 1) its location, 2) the rate, 3) the likelihood of more Brazilian clients (i.e., away from the hyped-up resort type of pousadas), and 4) the reviews. The reviews mostly praised the friendliness of the staff. That was definitely a selling point. I could not agree more. The staff is excellent throughout the entire facility: polite, willing to help immediately, has a good sense of humor, and always smiles. Plus, the pousada was quiet at night for a relaxing sleep.

Very good location for walking to main beach and a variety of restaurants. Secure parking. Very comfortable room and beds. In-house restaurant food very good. Superb breakfast. Very relaxing pool area.

Offering an outdoor pool, Buzios Espiritualidade is set within a natural reserve in Búzios, 13 km from the Armação of Buzios twon center. Sonia was an incredible masseuse and reiki practitioner. Bernardo on reception was fantastic.

Set in a colonial house next to Canal do Itajuru river, Solar do Arco offers accommodation in Cabo Frio. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. The colonial building is so beautiful, lots of space, amazing breakfast, delicious and very reasonably priced food and drinks :) The location is also ideal. I travel a lot and it's the first time I give a hotel a 10/10 rating :)

Paradiso Corporate is set in the centre of Cabo Frio, 700 metres away from Dunas Beach and 1.5 km from Praia do Forte. Guests can unwind by their swimming pool whilst admiring their sea view. The staff was so helpful and friendly - the Halloween themed breakfast was so cute!
