Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV. The room was warm and clean, there was plenty of space in the room because there was no table, minibar or glasses etc. The location of the hotel is central for exploring the city on foot and near the tram stations. They gave us a Basel Card for free transportation in the city (It also provides discounts at museums.). Thanks.

Newly built in 2014, The Passage in Basel is a centrally located design hotel featuring a sauna, a fitness centre, free WiFi access and air-conditioned rooms. The Basel SBB Train Station is 850 metres away. Its location is good, there’s a paid parking in front of the hotel, and in 5 minutes there’s a bus/tram stop which was complementary. Not sure it was given by the hotel or by the government though. The room was spacious, light, well decorated and clean. The soap, shampoo and cream were from Loccitane. We were given the patio rooms which was very quiet.

All rooms have a cable TV, a large work desk and a free minibar with soft drinks and beer. Breakfast was excellent - high quality food and drink. Coffee and tea were very good. Personnel were very friendly and courteous. Bed was very comfortable.

Our room was spacious for 3 people. Had space to spread out. Room was bright and airy. The area is very pretty with a little nature park. Extremely quiet day and night! A restaurant is on the premises with an excellent breakfast included in our room rate.
