All rooms have a cable TV, a large work desk and a free minibar with soft drinks and beer. I liked everything about this hotel. Breakfast was great with lots of thing to choose from. The room was spacious and clean. At night there was no noise from the outside. The curtains did the job - the room was completely dark at night. The staff was extra nice and accomodating. The hotel is close to the tram line that takes you right to the main train station and the centre of the old town.

The Bar & Bistro restaurant offers a fine choice of traditional Swiss, regional and international dishes. During summer, guests can relax with a drink or meal on the terrace. I rarely give the highest rating, but this place deserves it as it was really comfortable. The room was well equipped and clean (big plus for two kinds of pillows where you can actually feel the difference), breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty, and staff very kind and helpful. I also enjoyed the current art collection displayed, great initiative.

The Central City Hotel Rochat is housed in a historic, listed building in the old town of Basel. The accommodation enjoys a central and very quiet location close to the university and the cantonal hospital. The hotel has a small garden and free WLAN. Just 150 metres from Basel Main Train Station and the airport shuttle bus and only 10 minutes' ride by public transport to Basel Messe convention centre, Metropol Hotel is a modern non-smoking hotel in the centre of Basel . We stayed at Hotel Euler and were upgraded to a suite which was lovely. Convenient location.
