Situated in the centre of Basel's Old Town, on the banks of the Rhine, Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois is one of Europe’s oldest city hotels, where such personalities as Napoleon, Elizabeth II, Pablo Picasso, Thomas Mann and others have stayed. It was a perfect stay - the room was spacious, the view was beautiful, the personnel was very kind. The food in the restaurant Cheval Blanc (3 Micheline stars) in the hotel was extraordinary, absolutely amazing. The bar and the brasserie were also fantastic.

Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV. The hotel was in a very good location, near to all the attractions. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Overall a nice, quiet and wonderful stay.

Easy one stop on bus 30 outside hotel to Basel SBB and on to airport. Perfect overnight stop. Old town Basel just down steps behind hotel.
