Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV. The room was quiet, modern, exceptionally clean and surprisingly larger than expected. The bathroom was sleek and modern in style with excellent water pressure in a large shower. The sink and counter were large, clean, well lit. Towels were large and smelled good. The staff at Motel One were extremely professional, warm and friendly and so accommodating! While this hotel is only three stars, I found it was more aligned with five star properties I have stayed in throughout Switzerland and other parts of Europe. I was so impressed with the overall experience, I would consider routing myself through Basel again on the near future…and will add more time onto the visit to enjoy this great hotel, it’s superb service and staff and it’s great location in this fantastic city!

Newly built in 2014, The Passage in Basel is a centrally located design hotel featuring a sauna, a fitness centre, free WiFi access and air-conditioned rooms. The Basel SBB Train Station is 850 metres away. Everything was great especially the evening staff

The Wettstein hotel is located in a central residential quarter of Basel, 200 metres from the Rhine river, and offers you garage parking, free Wi-Fi and a free internet station.

All rooms have a cable TV, a large work desk and a free minibar with soft drinks and beer. Location, cleanliness of room, and helpfulness of staff were excellent. The room was a little warm and there wasn’t an obvious way of cooling it off.

The Bar & Bistro restaurant offers a fine choice of traditional Swiss, regional and international dishes. During summer, guests can relax with a drink or meal on the terrace. Very nice hotel, clean, comfy with friendly staff. What I liked the most was the location, exaclty opposite from the train station for those who need to catch early trains!

The Central City Hotel Rochat is housed in a historic, listed building in the old town of Basel. The accommodation enjoys a central and very quiet location close to the university and the cantonal hospital. The hotel has a small garden and free WLAN. I really liked the cosy design of the room. It was a very spacious room with a spacious bathroom, the personnel was really friendly, the garden and backyard is super cool and they even have a main coon cat sitting the in the lobby 😍

Just 150 metres from Basel Main Train Station and the airport shuttle bus and only 10 minutes' ride by public transport to Basel Messe convention centre, Metropol Hotel is a modern non-smoking hotel in the centre of Basel . It is a very-very good variant to visit Basel, for a short or a long stay. Very good position, very good facilities, nice personal, good breakfast, perfect cleanliness. So, in a nut shell formulation: best value for the price!...
