It had a big window facing the lake which allowed us to oberserve the double rainbow appeared in the early morning. Strongly recommend everyone who comes to Brunnen to stay here, especially the lake side room.

Superb views from balcony. Staff is great and helpful, we needed a bit medical attention, all was organized. Room was small, but sufficient. Spa is great, not large, but we were lucky to have opportunity to sunbath outside - plenty of space - cozy and nice. towels, bathrobes good quality. Good cocktails, not so expensive for Switzerland :) Great stay, walking distance to few bars, we found one store, close to hiking trails and table cars. Super quiet! Love to come back!

It is also an easy walk to the train station. The staff was very helpful, whether it was a warm drink in the afternoon or helping us to get laundry done. We were very happy with our stay.

The Schmid & Alfa is spread over 2 buildings that are over a century old. The renovated rooms offer modern amenities such as LCD flat-screen TVs with 150 channels. Many rooms have views over the lake and mountains. This hotel is right in the heart of Brunnen, and we could walk everywhere. It was a 2 minute walk to the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife making workshop. We had private/dedicated parking for our entire stay, which was great when you have tired kids after a day of sight seeing in the local area. Breakfast was good, with enough variety to satisfy a picky toddler and food sensitivities. The most amazing thing about our stay was the view from our apartment. We could watch the boats on the lake and wake up to the water and mountain fresh air.
