Excellent hotel in Siebnen, with a good restaurant, that had special offers for the hotel guests. I stayed there one night, and the room was nice and very clean! Breakfast was also very good!

The Schmid & Alfa is spread over 2 buildings that are over a century old. The renovated rooms offer modern amenities such as LCD flat-screen TVs with 150 channels. Many rooms have views over the lake and mountains. This hotel is right in the heart of Brunnen, and we could walk everywhere. It was a 2 minute walk to the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife making workshop. We had private/dedicated parking for our entire stay, which was great when you have tired kids after a day of sight seeing in the local area. Breakfast was good, with enough variety to satisfy a picky toddler and food sensitivities. The most amazing thing about our stay was the view from our apartment. We could watch the boats on the lake and wake up to the water and mountain fresh air.

The place felt truly magical—just like Switzerland itself. The hotel is located on a peninsula, and we were given rooms overlooking the lake. Waking up to such a view, it took us a moment to realize we were not still dreaming. Since we arrived late at night, the staff had thoughtfully prepared envelopes with our names and room keys waiting for us—every detail carried a sense of care. Breakfast could be described in two words: refined simplicity. Everything essential for a moderate yet fulfilling start to the day was there. We loved the hotel so much that on our way back, we stayed there again. Each room had a small refrigerator with two beers inside, priced at 5 Swiss francs. And, by the way, in every room, tucked inside a drawer, there was a Bible. We travelled by car, for which there was free parking here.
