The BEST WESTERN Hotel Rebstock, run by the same family for 3 generations, offers panoramic views of Lake Constance from the restaurant, spacious rooms with a balcony, free WiFi and free parking on site. Very nice and spacious room, with view over the lake, many windows and a little terrace as well, a kitchenette. The staff was very accommodating for our needs and were able also to extend our stay due to unforeseen circumstances. Hospitality at its best.

The restaurant and lakeside terrace are open to the public throughout the day. We serve lunch and dinner. Our room overlooking the water was spacious and beautifully decorated- my husband, who can be critical, remarked that it was one of the nicest rooms we had been to in an extended time. Lovely small veranda to sit and view the water along with goats (and cute kid goats) grazing outside. Very quiet and peaceful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection and was fresh. Dinner also lovely with good service and nice tables again with water views. There are plentiful tables outside but the weather was a little cool so we sat inside.

Nicely situated between St Gallen and the restaurants/bars along the shore of the lake. Gorgeous!

Hotel Frohe Aussicht is located in the small village of Schwende near Appenzell. I was mainly looking for a place to stay for one night, and I chose this one because it was conveniently located and had its own parking space. So I wasn't expecting much, but it quickly became clear that Hotel Frohe Aussicht was an excellent choice. The room was basic, with a private balcony and bathroom. The hotel had an excellent restaurant. The staff were nice and professional. The views from the balcony were amazing. I could have spent more nights here. I definitely recommend it.

The romantic rooms are equipped with antique furniture. Some rooms have shared toilets. Hairdryer and TV are available upon request. 900 years old historical building, top notch food and extremely polite staff, even for Switzerland. 10/10, no doubt.
