Wendy’s place is incredible, a beautiful house, private and surrounded by nature. The nights were with perfect temperature and you sleep with the sound of nature, something we needed to get accustomed with. But we had the best sleep for 4 nights! We booked the full experience with breakfast and dinners brought dearly by Wendy’s mom, who was a bit like our mom too. If you speak a bit of spanish, this will stay as your favorite memory of the house, like for us. The waterfall of the neighbour’s property is also superb and had it just for us, is bigger than it looks on photos! We also saw some toucans from the balcony and hummingbirds. A little paradise we recommend to everyone.

Located only 8 minutes’ drive from the Juan Santamaria International Airport, this executive hotel offers free Wi-Fi access throughout and sun terraces around the outdoor pool. The hotel is close to the airport and also has a restaurant next to it, therefore breakfast or any meal for that matter. The parking was great and staff also very nice. Pool looked pretty cool, did not get a chance to try it.

The lodge is very unique. The rooms are in traditional styled huts. Each hut has about 6 rooms inside, and the rooms are decorated with indigenous artwork. Each room has its own seating outside. The grounds are beautiful and very interesting to explore, set amidst an archeological site. The restaurant serves delicious food and has lovely open views. The on-site infinity pool is stunning. The lodge is next to a rainforest nature reserve with a river and hanging bridges. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Located on the edge of a protected cloud forest, Poas Volcano Lodge offers stunning views of Poas Volcano. This boutique hotel features a bar-restaurant, lush gardens and stylish rooms with free... The ambiance was peaceful. There was no pressure of any kind. The communal spaces were peaceful and comfortable. The staff was truly amazing. Although we were not able to see Poas Volcano as the park was closed, spending a little more time at the lodge was an unexpected gift.

Offering views of the Central Valley, Hotel Montecampana is located in Santa Barbara. Surrounded by attractive gardens, it features an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant. Pool slices are not safe for kids. No towels, beds are very uncomfortable. It's a nice area but not AC. Super hot at daytime and cold at night again, no blankets. We didn't even have windows to open, only a very noisy fan. Did not advise me not to stay underneath the bar with my 4 year old. He was awake until 11 pm, that's when the music went down
