We were surrounded by sounds and sightings of wildlife on our walks to and from the beach, and when enjoying our time at the house. The love, attention and effort that goes into the maintenance of this amazing place is truly incredible. Everything works perfectly, from showers to kitchen utilities and all other comforts. Marisol took great care of us and helped us to spot sloths, toucans and howler monkeys. One of our closest wildlife encounters on the trip also took place at Congo Bongo. Following Marisol’s recommendation, we had two dinners at the local restaurant Mista Cook, it was delicious. Muchas gracias, we will be back!

Free WiFi and free private parking is available on site. Werner was a really friendly and helpful host. We had a great time! Breakfast was delicious, the rooms were clean and spacious. La rana has everything you need and more. Werner went out of his way for us to feel comfortable and he even got my mother some almond croissants for her birthday. We liked it so much, we decided to stay a night longer.

It is coral, so not a beach for swimming - but Playa Negra is a beautiful black sand beach a mere 10 minute walk away - excellent for swimming. We had the air conditioned rooms with floor to ceiling windows looking out at the jungle and ocean as well as a lovely swimming pool. The back courtyard not only a few steps from the ocean, but also full of hammocks and wildlife, daily visits from howler monkeys and tons of birds. A beautiful place to relax. The breakfast was delightful, the staff friendly and helpful. Very clean and very close to everything in town. Many delicious restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The national park, hiking and snorkeling all within a few minutes walk. We LOVED this place and can't wait to go back.

Plenty of space, a great kitchen and a super terrace. Every day we woke up to the sound of birds singing. And when we were preparing breakfast, we could watch the hummingbirds from the kitchen window. Highly recommended!
