The late 19th century Gilleleje Badehotel is located in the Zealand town Gilleleje, right in front of the ocean and Gilleleje Beach. Wonderfully calm and relaxing. Staff were superb and friendly and helpful. Stunning location. No televisions and relaxing music.

Rungstedgaard is located at Rungsted harbor and the Karen Blixen museum. Rungstedgaard is surrounded by its own private park and overlooks the strait. Beautiful setting. Room was very comfortable with a great view. Loved the breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Such a charming and intimate place! With quirky, personal touches sprinkled throughout. We felt very much at home at Hornbækhus, and enjoyed exploring each of the nooks and crannies it had to offer. We partook in the community dinner, which was fun and delicious, and breakfast was nice as well (keep in mind, it's not a buffet - you order from a menu). Our room felt very cozy, however the real charm was coming out of the room and reading a book or enjoying a cocktail in the "living room" and going on long walks along the beach close by.

I had to wake up at 5am on Sunday and the staff prepared me a box for breakfast for me to pick up in the fridge at the reception. Very lovely stay!

Rates include free casino admission, free parking and free WiFi access. staff was awesome. they asked how come we made such a quick/impulse booking and when they found out about previous negative experience we were treated extra well. big kudos to them!!! breakfast was awesome, a bit crowded but super nice view from the restaurant. lounge area was great too with bonfire, board games, table tennis, pool etc. we even got 2 free drinks tickets since we were asked to wait for a couple of minutes. overall, great value for the money! we found free parking spots, although it was quiet crowded. we did not have time or interest in trying out other facilities such as pools etc. but at least could see there were plenty to choose from.
