Located in Cangas del Narcea in Asturias, Parador de Corias is set in an 11th century monastery. It offers an exhibition area including archaeological remains from the original structure. It’s a very grounding and peaceful space. Hard to describe in words. The feeling is expansive and beautiful.

Surrounded by mountains, Hotel Rural Casa Xusto is located in the small town of La Caridad. This 19th-century house features wooden floors and stone walls, and offers views of the garden. The location near the beached and the national road, in a quiet area of a hamlet with services is convenient for several reasons. I liked the compound - the extended true-to-style house and the garden. The parking is at hand on the plot. The breakfast comprises typical produce, is tasty and filling. Yet above all I liked the helpfulness of the friendly manager and all the staff.

Hotel Valle Las Luiñas is set on the Santiago de Compostela Pilgrimage Route and 2 km from San Pedro de la Rivera Beach. Rooms have a private balcony, flat-screen satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. All great. Friendly staff, comfortable room and a nice restaurant (had lunch, dinner and breakfast there).

Hotel Villadesella is a typical Asturian country house, dating from 1819, set 1.5 km from the town of Ribadesella. It has a restaurant, and an outdoor swimming pool set in large gardens. The breakfast was excellent, it was quiet with good views and it was very close to a path round the hills overlooking Ribadesella.

Situated in the centre of Arenas de Cabrales, near the River Cares, famous for its trout and salmon, this is the ideal base for exploring Picos de Europa National Park. It is a perfect location in the middle of the Picos de Europa with private parking. The room was exceptionally clean. Great breakfast Amazing nature scene around the Hotel

Situated in the heart of Picos de Europa Mountains, in the small town of Cangas de Onís, Hotel La Cepada features free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Quiet! Good bed and pillows in a beautiful bedroom. The staff is very helpful and friendly

Situated right in the heart of Avilés' old town, Hotel Palacio de Aviles Affiliated by Melia is a tastefully converted, 17th-century palace. Featuring free Wi-Fi, it is located in Plaza de España. Breakfast was excellent, reception staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and cool, which was a lifesaver on these really hot days.

Located in Oviedo’s historic centre, 150 metres from San Francisco Park, Eurostars Hotel de la Reconquista is set in an 18th-century building declared National Monument. Beautiful old property with an eye catching facade right downtown Oviedo. Within walking distance of a pedestrianized shopping district with terraces and restaurants, near monumental buildings and a shady well maintained park. Complete with free roaming peacocks. There was ample parking in the secure hotel garage which has an elevator into the hotel. Our room had comfy beds, a welcome tray of chocolates and a fridge with cold water. Christina deserves a commendation for her cheerfulness and service in the American Bar and assistance with room service. Gracias Christina! Lastly, this handicapped traveler found the hotel easily accessible.

This beautiful hotel is set in a restored convent dating from the 17th century, just off Sablón beach in the pretty village of Llanes. Lovely hotel in a great location. We had bicycles included in our rate and we could ride along the coast line. Beach towels available from reception. A very enjoyable stay
