Located 2 km from Chateauroux Train Station, La Soierie offers an indoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace. Free Wi-Fi is free of charge in the entire property. Great welcome Parking place at the entrance. The room and attached bathroom were spotless and spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Qiiet and I slept like a baby. Breakfast was nice. This hotel is divided into 2 buildings from the 18th-century, a former school, from Napoleon III period. This is another place that rates quite high for my family, with 30 years of experience of traveling to Europe! The owner is phenomenal and warmly welcomed us when we arrived. As it was before our room was ready, we could leave our luggage at the property. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. The facilities, including our beautiful room and bathroom, are great. The breakfast room has plenty of options. The exterior courtyard was peaceful and charming. The location of the hotel is perfect, being a 1 minute walk to Chateau d'Azay-le-Rideau. The small village is serene and easy to explore during a short evening walk. We parked (2 nights) at the free spots in "Parking de La Passerelle", about 5 minutes away. There might be free overnight parking a bit closer at L'ilot d'Azay, but ask beforehand if it is free and legal. Definitely make Hotel de Biencourt your choice when in this part of France. You will not regret it!

Logis Hôtel du Cygne is located in the heart of Bracieux on the Loire Castles Route, 20 km from Blois, 8 km from Chambord and 10 km from Cheverny. I didn't expect such a good place. From the street, the hotel looks quite ordinary. From the courtyard, however, it's a low-rise complex with a very atmospheric atmosphere. The rooms are clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is large and has a shower. An additional advantage is the electric heater with electronic drying and rapid heating programs. The room doesn't have a refrigerator, as described, but there is a room with a refrigerator, where everyone has their own space – a very nice feature. Cold, hot, and sparkling water are available free of charge – there's a dispenser from which you can refill as needed. Plates, glasses, and cutlery are also provided if you want to make yourself something to eat. You can also order breakfast. Bikes are available for rent – both electric and classic. There's also a charging station for cars (AC). Of course, there's also a heated outdoor pool – it's not very large, but sufficient. The staff is very helpful and friendly – their dedication is evident. This place is highly recommended.

Le Manoir de Maucartier is located in Monnaie, 16 km from Tours. Free WiFi is featured and free private parking is available on site. Some rooms include a seating area for your convenience. We loved this french country house! The garden is perfect and shows relaxing vibes everywhere. Tattoo and the cat they are super cute and sweet! Pascal wonderful host who takes care with us and paid attention on lots of details! Ps all the food prepared by him is yummy!

Le Grand Saint-Marc is located in Vendôme, 37 km from Blois and 50 km from Chambord. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a seating area to relax in after a busy day. Le Grand Saint-Marc was a spectacular surprise. It's difficult to overstate my pleasure at staying here. I was long-distance cycle touring, had suffered a non-trivial accident 50km south, and needed a little comfort and recovery time. My 'attic' room was lovely, with heaps of space, an excellent bathroom, and great fixtures. The entry door is suitably 'heritage' in character, from when ppl on average were even shorter than me. Bump, oops. Tall folk beware. The staircase up to my room is not for folk with mobility problems, although the property does also have ground floor rooms. The room was not air-conditioned, and I did stay during some hot weather, but the many windows and two excellent fans were perfectly adequate. I think breakfasts were probably my highlight. The host - Francois (IIRC) - was lovely and very knowledgeable of the foods and coffees he was providing me. I lingered - forever - over breakfast. The accommodation, and there are several options, is in an heritage stone building within a large walled land holding. There's gardens, trees, and open areas all around.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool, views of the river and free use of bicycles, Chateau des Grotteaux Près Chambord is set in Huisseau-sur-Cosson in the Centre Region. Amazing place and amazing staff. Great hearing the Chateau’s history from Gael. Breakfast was also outstanding. 11/10

The breakfast is incredibly; home made Marmelade, yogurts and fresh baguette. All in all a wonderful place to either unwind or use it as a base to see what the area has to offer.
