This time we stayed 3 nights, to enjoy the breakfast 3 times 🤤 - In some chambres d'hôtes the hosts can be very … present/pushy. Here, they are very kind, but you have full privacy: if you need them, they're there. - Since our last stay, a wooden sculpture with three monkeys has appeared! We noticed that during the night it was closed, and somehow in the morning it was open again … turns out that the hosts close this every night, "because the monkeys want to sleep too" 😄 We're looking forward to returning again some time 😊

La Fontaine is located in the Jura countryside, outside the village of Mantry, a 10-minute drive from the A39 motorway. It offers en-suite guest rooms with air-conditioning, TVs and free Wi-Fi. Great location for through-travel in France. Convenient, clean, good restaurant. Secure parking and a big grassy area for children (or pets) to play.

This is a magic location; lakeside with a lovely little animal park next door, and close to a series of beautiful waterfalls. A very relaxed atmosphere. The accommodation and food were basic, but good. There are family rooms in the main building, also a couple of pretty Gypsy Caravan style places by the lake and a couple of wood-framed tents to one side of the animal park. The staff were really great.
