A 15-minute drive from Chester's historical centre, Grosvenor has a spa, a pool and a gym. Near the Welsh border, Grosvenor Pulford has free Wi-Fi, spacious rooms and beautiful grounds. We booked a standard room and were upgraded to a nicer room upon our arrival, it was a nice surprise. The bed was comfortable, we enjoyed the spa facilities (the temperature in the pool, jacuzzi and sauna/steam was perfect). Food was very good. The staff was amazing and very friendly. We recognised a reception manager from our last visit and were happy to see her, she is always so thoughtful. Also the waitress at Nelson pub was superb. Everyone was very nice! It was our second visit and we will be definitely coming back again.

Located on the Parkgate's Parade in Wirral, with fabulous views over the Dee estuary to North Wales, the Ship Hotel offers fresh, locally-sourced, hearty food, free Wi-Fi, and free parking on site. They don’t make a big deal about their excellence, but they are excellent.

In the vibrant Hoole area of historic Chester, Chester House Guest House offers warm and cosy rooms with free Wi-Fi. Cannot fault this place at all, we absolutely loved the room with all the personal touches and the staff were incredible! The breakfast was also really good quality and an awesome way to start the day! All of this for a very good price gives it top marks

Staff were amazing. They were so accommodating for our late arrival. Food was excellent for dinner and breakfast. Room was above our expectations, comfortable, clean and so spacious. Would highly recommend to anyone to visit

Whitethorn Bed and Breakfast is located on a 1000-acre farm 3 miles outside Congelton and just a short walk from the village of Astbury. Loverly country location with easy parking. Generous healthy breakfast.

The characterful, 18th-century Badger Inn provides stylishly appointed accommodation, 5 miles outside Winsford, Cheshire. Small village, old style, really good restaurant.

If you like historical buildings that are well maintained and remain quirky whilst providing comfort and modern facilities this is for you. Beautiful hosts and thoughtfully presented accomodation. Being next door to Tatton Park was a nice bonus. Perfect for us.
