The property is non-smoking and is set 33 km from Blenheim Palace. Everything was perfect. Staff, facilities, meals, room was lovely. Virtually part of the Village Square yet very secluded and quiet. Even our room was extremely quiet, even given it proximity to the road.

Cheltenham is a 25-minute drive away. Amazing little hotel right in the centre this beautiful village. Ample parking for guests. The room was adjacent to the parking lot on the ground level which was really convenient. The room was large, very clean, very comfy and big bed like in the best hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful (Simone). The hotel has a wonderful bar and excellent restaurant for the evening meal. Absolutely no need to go looking elsewhere although we were also recommended a great burger place just opposite the hotel for lunch. The breakfast was lovely, buffet style - cereals, cheeses, yoghurts and continental, plus tea/coffee and eggs to order.

Nestled in the pretty Gloucestershire village of Coln St Aldwyns, this beautiful country inn offers a garden overlooking meadows and elegant, individually designed rooms with modern amenities.

Featuring ancient oak beams, fine fabrics and luxurious beds, rooms are full of character. They include a flat-screen satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, a power shower or roll-top bath and either terrace or meadow views. This is a great little spot. My room was comfortable and charming and overlooked the lovely homes across the street. I had dinner breakfast and lunch and all three were great. The village is tiny and quiet and has some charming buildings. I learned from visiting the church nearby that the New Inn has historical Significance as a center of social and civic life.

Built in the 17th century, the Bird in Hand Inn retains many period features including Cotswold stone walls and beamed ceilings. There is a large fireplace in the winter and a terrace for summer dining. Fantastic location and excellent food. Room and bathroom were very generous and were cleaned every day.

The Crown Inn is a beautiful building dating from 1633. Surrounded by Gloucestershire countryside, you can enjoy excellent views across the Golden Valley. This is our second time staying, and we loved the cozy pub and exceptional meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We appreciated the real fires that were lit throughout the pub and the dog-friendly atmosphere. It was a quiet place to stay with great views of the Golden Valley. I liked the local Corinium ale they had on tap.

The daily breakfast offers continental and Full English/Irish options. The room was small but was absolutely lovely equipped with a fan, hairdryer, television, complementary soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner in addition to a box with a wide selection of hot drinks, biscuits and even bottles of water. It made you feel comfortable and at home without needing to get up for drinks in the evening. The bed was comfortable and fresh with a good amount of lovely cushions and the room had an open, natural atmosphere with a gorgeous modern oak door - lockable for privacy and an exquisite sky light in the ensuite bathroom. The location situated us a 10-minute walk from Bourton-on-the-water, giving us space away from the hustle of tourism and surrounded by trees, donkeys, and goats. The breakfast was absolutely stunning with a large assortment of options on the breakfast menu with the offer of juices, hot drinks toasts, and much more to keep you full all day. The vegetarian full breakfast was a lovely surprise as it gave me another option alongside porridge, croissants, and cereal. Sunny Nest is honestly a hidden gem with a price that is well worth what you get, which makes it even better for people or students on a budget such as myself. Get yourself down there!!!
