Dakota Glasgow features 83 luxuriously appointed bedrooms including 11 suites. I expected a nice hotel but the Dakota Glasgow was more than that. Very pretty and comfortable hotel - they've thought of everything (including outlets for EU plugs at the desk). We had a lovely, very comfortable room and bed, it was immaculately clean, everything updated and within walking distance pretty much everywhere we went. Staff, too, was very friendly.

Auchendennan FarmSelf Catering Cottages offers a beautiful setting in Arden, a short walk from the shores of Loch Lomond and only 2 miles from Balloch. Lovely quiet place. Very clean and tidy. Even had a stove in the room which was nice

A landmark hotel in Scotland’s biggest, most vibrant city, Glasgow’s Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel and Spa combines the elegance of a stately 19th-century Georgian townhouse with the luxe modern... The people and their service are phenomenal! They are always smiling and very helpful. I left my asthma inhaler in the room and only remembered it after check-out; they helped me get my medicines without hassle. The bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was quite nice, too!

We had a great stay -- the hotel is rather unique in that it's actually several townhouses that are connected and then redone as rooms. Our room was delightfully decorated fitting of the boutique hotel status, with a huge bathroom and large, comfortable bed. The hotel staff were communicative and helpful, both before our stay, messaging over booking.com, at reception, and while there. We were celebrating a special occasion, and had a nice surprise welcoming us in the room, which we appreciated. We also ordered room service from the restaurant (always a nice treat at hotels that offer it) and this hit the spot -- there was good variety, the food was high quality, and the ambiance and experience quickly made us feel at home. Lastly, it was our first time in Glasgow and as travelers without a car, we weren't quite sure where to stay. This spot worked out quite well -- the area is nice, and the university area (around Byres road), with more shops and cafes and such, is just a 10 minute walk, or a shorter bus ride. The bus stop is also right outside and very convenient, and that or the train provide quick transit access through the city. Overall, this worked out very well for us -- we had comfortable accommodations, tasty food, and great service. Would recommend to others.

The apartment is extremely spacious and set within the host’s home, which gives it a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly feels like home. The location is very strategic - perfectly situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The hosts were incredibly kind and friendly, and the breakfast was super tasty. A truly comfortable and convenient place to stay!
