A full English or continental breakfast is served daily at The Three Tuns. The inn uses local ingredients, offering a relaxed bar menu and roast dinners on Sundays. Guests enjoy views of the castle from the beer garden and live music on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Our room was a little shabby, but knowing that this room was built 70 years after Henrik VIII chopped the heads of his wife s makes it understandable. So 10 points overall.
Newport
The Priory is nestled within the historic town of Caerleon on the River Usk. Dating back to 1180, this hotel was originally a Cistercian monastery. It has a fantastic à la carte restaurant, and is situated in secluded grounds in the historic town of Caerleon, on the River Usk. Possibly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! The entire experience was nothing short of incredible. All 3 of our rooms were upgraded free of charge, the receptionist served us with a lovely glass of champagne each on arrival and overall the whole team could not be more helpful! The grounds are stunning, with a lovely outdoor area where you can enjoy food and drinks. The allocated rooms were also lovely, very spacious and comfortable. The staff organised multiple taxi rides for us (party of 5), arranged restaurant bookings and done it all with a genuine smile and the most welcoming attitude. The absolute highlight of our stay was the onsite restaurant, the menu selection is impressive, the food is fresh and delicious! We would definitely recommend it for both relaxed dining as well as celebration dinners. Thank you so much all for your hospitality!

Hot tub was great and owners very welcoming and friendly. Lovely bottle of wine and brownies when we arrived. Had a very relaxed catch up with friends.
We booked this hotel for our mini honeymoon break away. The room was lovely and the food was tasty, we didn't have breakfast but our evening meal at the grill was worth the money. The Spa was really nice and relaxing just ashame that there was a time limit and had to pre book to use the spa. Over all we had a lovely stay
We stayed in the penthouse suite for a romantic weekend away. It was extremely spacious and very clean. Had a choice of bath or walk-in shower. The balcony was lovely.
No breakfast available. That was ok. Lovely room. Asked for a quiet room as inreden to go to a funeral the next da and had an upgrade. So caring and accommodating. Asked if I could take a glass of wine to the room to relax after a long drive before going to bed and relax and was allowed . Great service . Thank you.
Absolutely gorgeous place, will definitely be back if you'll have us. Used the fire pit outside that was set up ready and gazed at the stars. Lots of wildlife and birds, wish I'd brought my binoculars! Equipped with everything we needed. A lovely warm welcome from George when we arrived then left in peace to relax. Just loved it x
we got married here 10 years ago and stayed in the honeymoon suite, due to the venue needing to alter the rooms we were given the honeymoon suite again which was a lovely upgrade
Such a lovely hotel we had a lovely relaxing weekend using the pool, jacuzzi & we even had a game of snooker. Breakfast was delicious & had a great sleep too. Staff were very good really enjoyed our stay. Thanks.
