The rooms were outstanding, and what a shower - when you think you’re getting this out of a historical building, it’s really something to highlight. The Quod restaurant is the go-to spot to eat in Oxford and staff was always ready to help. One of the best places I stayed in the UK.

Situated in the heart of rural Oxfordshire, in picturesque Dorchester, The George Hotel, Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire - The Coaching Inn Group is one of Britain’s oldest coaching inns. The ambience of this medieval inn was great. The beds are very comfortable, and the food at breakfast was fantastic. Dinner, with a reduced menu choice, was also good. Staff seemed eager to please.

I was welcomed by some lovely staff in the Tea Room who showed me through to the private garden. The room was perfect, very clean, great shower in the wet room and a very comfortable bed. I will definitely stay here again, it’s about a 5 minute walk from the free public car park with walking along the flat, which in Burford is a bonus. The garden area was beautiful with lovely flowers and a real sun trap. The food in The Priory Tea Room is also lovely, highly recommend the ice cream. Great stay, thank you.

The staff were so helpful, we had booked into somewhere else and it was not great. Arrived at the hotel and explained, and the staff at the front desk offered us a free upgrade. The room was so comfortable and clean, and the hotel was just a lovely place to relax in. It was a very positive experience and we would stay there again!
Lovely old style pub with luxury rooms. It's obvious that a great deal of thought and expense has gone into the recent upgrade.
The room was lovely. I'd paid for the deluxe room, and it met my expectations. The room was large and the bathroom clean. The views from the window were excellent and there was a range of shower gels and shampoos available. The big thing though: It was here that I proposed to my girlfriend and the staff could NOT have been better about accommodating things like flowers arriving on my bed while away and keeping everything a secret.
Went for our anniversary and had an amazing stay at the Milton. Staff were really polite and upgraded our room. The room service and staff response over the phone was fantastic. It is a lovely hotel at a amazing location with vast countryside woods all around. Plenty of parking, comfortable bed, clean bathrooms, carpets and good heating. Lots of cosy personal space with comfortable sofas at the bar and library. I would totally recommend this hotel for couples or families looking for a weekend getaway around Oxford or the Cotswolds.
The location of this hotel is beautiful the grounds are lovely to walk around, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very spacious. We were here for our wedding anniversary and when we went to our room we had been left a bottle of champagne and some lovely cake, it was such a surprise and really made our day.
Hosts Jessica and Sam were lovely - friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Nice relaxed atmosphere, we felt very comfortable right away. Unexpected touches of luxury, bath robe and slippers as well as the usual complimentary toiletries. The property is all on one level. This won’t matter to the young and fit, but for older guests with arthritic ankles (us), no stairs is a big bonus.
We had a wonderful stay at the farm and Laura made us feel very welcome and at home. The room was lovely and bed very comfortable, we had the four poster bed. The bath was relaxing and hot. Tea making facilities perfect. Laura was most helpful in getting me a reading light. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast had lots of choice, and delicious. Perfect stay thank you and we loved hearing the peacock's x
Great stay with fab food and lovely building. Room upgraded to a room with bath in it - as if we were honeymooners! Not quite to our taste but bath water piping hot.
